Yes, this is true. I suppose I should have reworded the blog to read something along the lines of “Do not drive above your optimal speed”, but I believe that it is common sense that you cannot get efficiency at insanely low speeds, or overly high speeds.
“Drive the speed limit! Gas efficiency decreases the faster you drive!” - it’s not true, there is an optimal speed for every car / engine.
if you’d drive 1 mile per hour you’d have very poor efficiency
